Full report from The World Masters cyclocross championships featuring Vic Barnett and Hans Van Nierop!

Vic Barnett added the World Masters Cyclo Cross Championship to his recent European title at the weekend.
Welland valley rider Vic was competing in the 75+ championship in Belgium.
Barnett lead from the start on a course that included pine forests and areas of deep sand making for lots of running each circuit. Completing four laps in forty minutes forty four seconds Vic finished two and a half minutes clear of second place to take his tenth world title!
Competing in the forty five age category, team mate Hans van Nierop finished in thirty fourth place after crashing on the first lap.
Both riders commented on how difficult they found the course.
Nearer to home Welland Valley cross riders will be competing in the area championships at Misterton Hall next Sunday.

Congratulations Vic, we are all so proud at WVCC.
