What an action packed weekend!

Race & Ride for Rosemary, the Timson Cup, Club Runs and the start of the Leicestershire Cyclecross League

Tonight sees another Beer & Bike off road ride, starting at Bridge 61, Foxton Locks, led by Neil Doherty

On Saturday its Race & Ride for Rosemary, at Husbands Bosworth Sports Pavilion. Sign on from 315, racing and riding start at 4, come along and enjoy a cycling social afternoon evening for all!

Sunday is action packed!

  • Club Championship 9 and the Timson Cup consists of a 25mile TT around a new Bosworth, Welford and Naseby course (Click here for all details). This year it is the 75th anniversary of the death of Flying Officer Cyril Timson, and the Timson Cup was funded in his memory by public subscription. Thanks to Sophie Ward for the picture below of the WWII memorial at Robert Smyth School that includes FO Timson.
  • Sunday’s Club Runs: Neil Doherty is leading the fast run on Sunday (average of 18/19 mph) and Lee James is leading the steady run (15/16 mph). No steadier ride again this week, hopefully this ride will go out again next weekend.

Good luck to all who are riding and racing! Enjoy, stay safe, and don’t forget to wave.

Rumour has it that at least one, and perhaps more, club members plan to race both the TT and the LCXL on Sunday (“good training for the 3 Peaks later this month”) #goodluckwiththat
