Entries are OPEN NOW for our 2019 Team Race Nights.

The event has a new home this year at Leicester Aero Club (between Stoughton and Great Glen, LE2 2FG) following the demise of Rockingham. 

It’s a flat and wide 1.9k circuit around the airport’s three runways. All very Top Gun.

The airport will also be hosting Whizz Kids racing at the same time, bringing the Club together.

Once again the aim is to give everyone – from complete beginners to regular racers – the opportunity to compete in teams of three or four against other teams and riders of the same standard and speed.

It’ll be just like riding in the Tour de France, but without the camper vans, ‘copters and camembert.

The races take place on Wednesday nights – August 7, 14 and 21. Please note this is an enforced change of date from the ones in the printed club calendar.

The circuit will be open from 6pm, with races starting at 7pm. Riders must be 12 years and over.

If you would like to take part, you MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE by emailing chris.dainty@hotmail.co.uk. You must register by 8pm on the Tuesday before each race at the latest.

For racing newbies, there will be a teach-in before each race explaining how to get round the circuit safely.

If you know you are going to be available for more than one race week, then just put all the dates in your email.

The Club has invested considerable time and resources in securing an alternative venue to Rockingham, and is hoping for as many club members as possible – no matter what their experience or speed – to come and give it a go and make it a success.
