Yellow WVCC Jerseys out in full force at Mallory LVRC

Yellow WVCC jerseys were noticeable at the second round of the LVRC circuit races at Mallory Park last night.
Instead of the high pitched roaring of tuned motorcycles it was the turn of highly tuned pushbike racers, all over 40, whose carbon wheels swished around the smooth tarmacced Racing Circuit.

Split into two races, the first for those aged 40-60 (categories A to D) followed by those even older!

In race 1 James Moore was active, initiating a small break later to be joined by Phil Rayner and a few others James sprinted to 2nd place on the uphill finish but actually 1st in his age group, Phil, just two lengths down was 4th but also finished 1st in his age group.
A crash with 5 laps to go hindered Rob Moore but he was at the head of the bunch finishing 4th B and 10th overall after his teammates break.
Soaking up the atmosphere of the bunch was Loz Cox in his 1st ever LVRC race and his first scratch road race for 5 years he came in a creditable 12th place overall, 6th B, saying how much he enjoyed it!

In the second race Stuart Dawkins was also having a ball in his first outing for some years. Riding out of category to get acclimatised Stu was full of smiles and enthusiasm coming in 7th.
Bunny was enjoying the hot muggy conditions and the fact that the strong breeze was blowing up the finish hill each lap. Part of a break of three and dropping one with two laps left he had enough to outsprint Mick Davies for the win.
