Monday 10 September
Club member Peter Bentley has completed day 3 of his Land’s End to John O’Groats challenge, raising money for MacMillan. In total, Peter will cycle for 980 miles, which is approximately 60hrs in the saddle.
“I haven’t done a charity event for a while so I thought I better make it a decent challenge for a great cause.”
Peter started the ride on Saturday riding the 170km from Land’s End to Okehampton, climbing 2600m. Sunday’s Day 2 entailed 178 km and over 2000m of climbing from Okehampton to Bath, whilst today’s Day 3 involved riding 161 km from Bath to Ludlow across the Severn Bridge.
You can track Peter on his ride (Rider No 258), and if you want to make a donation you can go to his just giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/peter-bentley2
Good luck Peter from all at Welland Valley CC!
