As a brilliant way to round off one of the best cycling summer seasons ever and chat over the highs and inevitable lows come and join in on the annual ‘Ride for Rosemary’ on Saturday 29th September based in the beautiful surroundings of Misterton Hall.
Rosemary was a dog lover, club stalwart and wife of recently retired club chairman George Barnett. This is a charity event that will have a new added ride this year to cater for the widest possible audience of club riders and raise some money for Rosemary’s favourite charity ‘The Dogs Trust’
For the bargain price of £10 enjoy a choice of 4 rides to cater for all riders and abilities and tuck into a freshly prepared hot meal of Beef, sweet potato and dumpling stew with jacket potatoes, followed by summer fruit crumble and double cream (all created by a chef with delusions of international fame.) A range of home baked cakes will also be on offer.
The guided rides (no one gets left behind) starting from 10:00 will, where possible stop for a moment at Rosemary’s last resting place near Yelvertoft for a moment’s contemplation.
1) Shorter ride of 10 miles starting at 11am. All junior riders must be under the supervision of a responsible adult.
