Rockingham Roadrunner XXI
The first of this years Roadrunner series events was held on a warm evening over at Rockingham Pedalway on Tuesday evening where riders from Whizz Kids and Cyclones lined up for three races each. The races were held with two age groups, Under 10 and Over 10 racing over with the youngsters dominated by Whizz Kids and the older group by Cyclones. Each group started with a sprint, followed by a longer race with a mid length race to complete the age group programme. The racing was intense and excellent skills on show from both sets of riders. Results can be found at RR XXI Results. The final race of the evening was an elimination race on a short course just on the pitlane where all riders rode together. In a thrilling final lap Jamie Kershaw just outsprinted Dominic Bell to claim a hard fought race.
