TT update: Battling Bosworth and Lowe riding high

Lowe riding high

James Lowe contested the YMCA Sutton Coldfield charity TT event on the K11/10T at Dunchurch, recording a 10 mile personal best of 21:45, great progress in his season goal of recording a sub 21 minute time for a 10.

Evening 10 Series Round 6

40 riders enjoyed a cracking Round 6 of the Evening 10 TT series, contesting the Sulby course for the first time in 2018.  Setting off from Husbands Bosworth in the spring evening sunshine, sinews were strained up to Naseby, potholes dodged past the Battlefield to Sibbertoft, and then it was flat out on the ‘Glider Mile’ to the finish.

Tim Smith was the fastest rider recording 23:26, followed closely by James Lowe at 23:31 with last week’s winner Josh Van Nierop third with 23:58

Linda Hubbard was fastest lady 26:36, with John Ellis recording a rapid 24:51 to win the road bike category.

Results are available here – many thanks to Mike Ives.

Thanks to Peter and George for timekeeping, Hamish Lowe, Peter Bentley, Richard Garratt and Steve Bacon for marshalling, and Angela Holland for tea and excellent cakes.
