Wakey wakey, rise and shine. It’s round 4 of the Club Championship this Sunday

Wakey wakey, rise and shine. It’s round 4 of the Club Championship on Sunday; so set those alarm clocks for an early morning of fun and frivolity (surely pain and suffering? – Ed).

Start time is 9am for our first 25 mile TT of the season on the Kibworth – Corby course (NC25/17).  The route is available here from Garmin Connect.

Race HQ is Kibworth Grammar School Hall (LE8 0EW) and riders are encouraged to sign-on by 8.45am at the latest.

As always, we will have marshals in position at all the key junctions. However, riders are reminded that safety is their own responsibility and that particular attention should be paid to entering and exiting the three roundabouts on the course.

Marshals are David Bayliss, Kath Akoslovski, Lorna Marlow, Anthea Turnbull, Jason Williams and Jenifer Hulme.

The weather forecast currently looks reasonable, 14c at 9am with only a 13 per cent chance of rain.

The post-event tea and cake forecast also looks good.

So if you’re not doing the London Marathon on Sunday or one of the two Club Runs, then there’s no excuse for missing out on the chance to test yourself against the clock and generally improve as a road biker.
