Barnett endures hot dusty tracks

As the UK shivers, Vic Barnett was having to endure 32 degrees celsius in South Africa.
Contesting the 60km Cape Town Cycle Tour MTB Challenge at Uitspan Farm
In a mega field of 735 riders, Vic finished 314th, second over 70 years old, recording a time of 3 hours 35 minutes.
Racing over very dry dusty rolling tracks the Euro cross champion he made sure he stopped frequently to stay hydrated in scorching temperatures.

Sam Gaze (Specialized) out-sprinted defending champion Howard Grotts (Specialized) and Mathieu van der Poel(Corendon–Circus) to win the Cape Town Cycle Tour MTB Challenge in a time of 02:11:50.IMG_6077
