Welland Valley has a thriving time trial section, with almost 30 events scheduled throughout the year.
The club’s TTs are run over a variety of courses and distances – from 5 miles to 25 miles (with 10 miles the most frequent).
Competitors range in age from 12 to 70+ and all abilities are welcome – especially TT novices.
And the good news is that you don’t need a Star Wars bike, pointy hat, skinsuit or Bradley Wiggins / Laura Trott physique to take part.
Riders on standard road bikes currently make up around 50% of all TT competitors.
The club’s main courses are on the A6 at Kibworth; around The Langtons and at Husbands Bosworth. Longer events head out to Corby and Lutterworth.
All courses are fully signed with marshals at the key junctions.
And at the end of every event, there’s tea and cake back at race HQ and the chance for a catch up with other riders.
