As a valued member of Welland Valley Cycling Club, we’re inviting you to renew your membership for 2022 and take advantage of our early-bird discount.
Your club has an amazing programme of events planned for the coming year. In addition to our famous road, cross, MTB and TT races – along with weekend club runs, chain gangs, Sportives and Whizz kids fun – we’ll be launching a number of new initiatives in 2022, including free race skills training for all abilities, more gravel rides and our Bruntingthorpe Festival of Cycling.
So please sign-up asap. It helps the club with planning its annual budget; sorting out the marshalling rota and determining eligibility for club and external events
Membership fees and early-bird discount
Membership fees have been frozen for another year. The club has also decided to again reward current members with a 33% discount on renewals made before February 28, 2022. So sign-up today.
If you joined the club after September 1, last year, you will be automatically enrolled as a member for 2022 and you do not need to pay any fees. Our marvellous club sponsors and life members also do not pay any fees
Speaking of which, fees for 2022 are set out at the bottom of this email.
Please pay by bank transfer if you can and email John Welsford (firstname.lastname@example.org) confirming your payment.
Please note that the club does not issue membership cards. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your subscription as evidence of your continuing membership.
If there are no changes to your personal information, then there is no need to return the 2022 membership form. However, if there are any changes, please inform John Welsford of the change(s) by email or complete the form ( www.wellandvalleycc.co.uk/about/new-members-join-us ) and send it to him.
Your commitment to the club (it doesn’t work without you!)
Welland Valley is thriving as a club, thanks to the commitment of members to support its activities.
It is a requirement of membership that you must volunteer (usually as a marshal) at least once a year; and twice a year as a minimum if you race regularly in any club competitions.
Marshalling slots can be booked online via the marshalling section of our website
( www.wellandvalleycc.co.uk/marshaling-rota/ ) Be sure to volunteer early to get the widest choice of available dates.
The club is very proud of its work supporting the development of young cyclists.
In order to help us continue this support, members may wish to make a voluntary financial contribution to youth development at the same time as subscriptions are renewed.
