Medbourne 9.5 mile TT: Start sheet and race briefing

As well as being Round 1 of the 2026 TT Championship, Sunday’s TT is the first of three ‘hard ride’ TTs that members can compete for to wind the hardrider cups

HQ is Medbourne Village Hall, first rider off at 10 am, 1 minute intervals. No cleated shoes allowed in Village Hall.

Having inspected the course, there is a marked pothole on the  descent into Horninghold, in the middle of the road not on the racing line.   Also riders need to be aware of the rough  road surface rough on the off camber bend at the junction where the road from B;aston joins the course.

The descent towards Stockerston needs to be ridden with care, as does the descent into and through Horninghold.

There will be a rider briefing at 930 am with JD outside the HQ for anyone who wants it.

Time for the ‘must dos’

CARD– LIGHTS (Front & Rear) – FORM (if under 18) – RACE

What else do you need to know?

  • It’s going to be fun!
  • It’s a very quiet rural course with not much flat riding, so pace judgment plays a big part in success as the course rolls up and down repeatedly before a fast finishing stretch after the last turn.
  • Don’t go mad at the start! It climbs then drags before a steep fast descent with a bend which can surprise the unwary before a right angle turn at the bottom. The descent into and ride through Horninghold needs care.
