Whizz Kids Family Ride

Hi Whizz Kids, if you LOVE cycling, we’re back in action this Saturday afternoon on what might just be one of the only two dry days in February.  Coach Simon is unavailable for this one, so instead of a coached session we’re running an informal family ride for Valentines Day instead.  The plan is to meet at Britannia Walk in Market Harborough from 1:50pm ready for a 2:00pm start and we’ll be riding for 45 minutes up the Brampton Valley Way in the general direction of Northampton.  After 45 minutes (wherever you are) we’ll turn round and head downhill back to the start point so everyone should be back for 3:30pm.  The ride is open to Whizz Kids and you’ll need your parents/grandparents/guardians or other significant olders to ride with you.  Using past experiences, we know the group will spread out once we get across Scotland Rd and we’ll need parents to keep an eye on the younger riders and chaperone accordingly.

If you haven’t been on this ride before Britannia Walk is opposite the Sainsburys Petrol Station on Springfield Rd, Market Harborough (What3Words ///science.bookmark.slower).  There is a small pay and Display carpark adjacent to the start/finish, but this can fill quickly.  Although the day is currently forecast to be dry, the trail will still be very wet and potentially a bit muddy in places.  Lights will be a distinct advantage as there are two unlit tunnels on the trail if you get that far.

If you fancy a breath of fresh air on Saturday booking is now open so registered ridersd check your email or Whatsapp for the details.  Don’t forget your bike, helmet and appropriate clothing and definitely don’t forget your support crew as well.  We’ll see you on Saturday!
