Whizz Kids meet the President

Hi all,

Following our weather cancelled first session we finally kicked the year off with a skills session at Welland Park and we were delighted to be joined by new club president Phil Raynor.

Phil had told me he was really keen to come down and see what we get up to and this worked well as we had several trophies from last year to hand out and having a VIP present was perfect.

With 27 Whizz Kids present we decided to split two groups with Kevin taking the youngsters for a skills set around the rose garden and I took the senior riders onto the lumps for some point to point relay racing increasing in difficulty with each leg.

Mindful of the park grounds cutting up quickly and Kevin’s troop of youngsters getting cold we called early time on main events and finished with a quick game of musical cones with chocolate treats for everyone.

A huge thanks to Phil for supporting us and thanks as ever to Kevin, Sophie, Ian and Jade for their help.
