Whizz Kids Hill Climb

Hi Whizz Kids!

We’re back in competitive action on Saturday August 9th for our annual Hill Climb which is the next round of the Alden Electrical Whizz Kids Racing League.  We return to Foxton Locks and we’ll be racing up the hill on the bridleway to the village.  We are also opening the event to Youth Development riders as well as parents too, if you are up for a challenge.

The event will be run as a time trial, your fastest time of the day will count for league points, there is no limit on the number of attempts on the hill, so if you get slowed by other users of the trail just take a breather, ride to the start and have another go.

We meet near the Foxton Locks Lower Carpark, I’ll put out a couple of signs to direct you from the carpark to the bottom of the hill, which is at What3Words ///labs.fenced.preparing.  Carpark is pay and display and I believe costs £3.50 for 4 hours.

If you do park at the top of the locks, or cycle in if you are local then please use the road down to the bottom carpark, it is important that you Do Not ride the towpath alongside the locks. Meet up from 1:45ish, booking details have been emailed to registered riders. Don’t forget your bike, helmet and drinks and first rider away after the course inspection will be just after 2:00pm. See you on the hill on Saturday.
