Whizz Kids on Saturday 24th May
Hi Whizz Kids, we’re back in action this Saturday afternoon with a test event at a new* venue for us. We will be using part of the old RAF Husbands Bosworth site which you may know as the Gliding Centre and access will be through the Gliding Centre entrance on Sibbertoft Road, Husbands Bosworth. We’ll need to park away from the glding activities so look out for us on Saturday. This location is currently used for farming but some of the old taxiways and access roads still exist from when the site was active during the second small disagreement. The plan is to use this event to try out different parts of the site, to see what works and what doesn’t, with a view to having future sessions there if everything works for us. The session starts at 2:00pm and will last for about 90 minutes. I’m also led to believe that the Café at the gliding club may also be open but in any case don’t forget your bike, correctly fitting helmet and any drinks & snacks to keep you going.
*We have used this location once in about 2009, it was the home of the 3em Tour de Welland but as this was before all current Whizz Kids were born, we’ll consider this a new location.
