Whizz Kids 1st Olympic Games

On Saturday we met at Welland Park for the first ever Whizz Kids Olympic Games.

Splitting into two countries, France captained by Kev (vive la France) and the United States lead by Sophie (U..S..A!!) we competed in cycling games that vaguely resembled Olympic sports.

The sprints, hurdles and relays were easy to follow but the long jump, high jump – actually a limbo pole that got lower – and archery all raised a few eyebrows.

A big thanks to Kev, Sophie and Jon (a very strict scorer and adjudicator) and also to the parents who judged the final and decisive event, Breakdancing, which gave USA the overall win.

See you all in 4 years!!!
