Two for one at Kibworth

It was a foggy early start on Sunday for 20 intrepid riders. A one mile “sprint” was followed by a standard Kibworth 10. The one mile was beset with problems, mainly starting too hard and fogged visors / glasses. By the start of the 10 the fog had cleared and as my legs remembered the previous 2-3 minutes  I started at a more measured pace, which didn’t hurt my time overall.

Jon Durnin was fastest overall closely followed by Andy Poulton who had the fastest one mile time.

Fastest club woman was Milly Pinnock but Jen Clegg was fastest overall.

Rhys Thomas was fastest on a road bike.

It was great to see the return of catering, an excellent job done by Richard Krause.

Thanks to the marshals and volunteers particularly as they had to wait some time for the one mile event to finish. It couldn’t have happened without their help.
