Mallory Mark 3

Places are filling up fast for the club’s third Mallory Race Night; with more than 50 riders signed up already.
To book your place on the start line, go to SignUp Genius now to secure one of the remaining spots.
Entries will again be taken on the night; but it makes life much easier for the organisers if riders can sign up online a few days in advance.
 Sign up here:
You’ll also need a TLI licence which you can get here : https://www.tlicycling.com/membership/  Not only will this insure you to race, it also gives you a year’s public limited liability cover while out training or involved in other TLI Cycling recognised activities such as club runs.
Information for riders:
  1. The circuit is open from 6pm for warm-up (CLOCKWISE ONLY). There are toilet facilities.
  2. All riders must hold a TLI licence and must show proof at sign-in (either an email or a screengrab). Sign-in closes at 7.15pm..
  3. All riders must wear a number and the colour band allocated to their group – over the right shoulder.
  4. There is a compulsory race briefing at 7.20pm at the start. The start line is on the ‘hill’ 50m before the hairpin bend.
  5. Racing will begin at 7.30pm.
  6. There are four separate groups in the race (see below) – based on estimated speeds. Each group is colour coded to help with rider identification.
  7. The race will be around 16 laps (c 20miles).
  8. Groups will be set off at staggered intervals (from slowest to quickest).
  9. The first rider to complete the laps is the winner. Simples.
  10. The concept of a handicap race is that all riders end up on the same lap at the end of the race. Therefore, it is important groups get organised and ride as a unit to achieve maximum average speed.
  11. Groups passing other groups should give them a wide berth.
