A soft day for Whizz Kids and Roadrunner LXIX report
Good evening Whizz Kids, hope you’ve all dried out by now after today’s “soft” weather session run today by Simon in Kev’s absence. Holiday’s clearly made an impact on numbers today but Whizz Kids runs wherever possible and for the fortunate ones who turned out amid persistent rain enjoyed a session of skills based racing around a small, medium or large circle on the tennis courts which was followed by a segment based relay where the teams picked who rode the flat, technical or climbing sections. The day finished with a warm down of red light/green light before everyone headed to get dry. Thanks today to Simon and Ben for running the session and to the parents who no doubt dot damp too but your support is always appreciated by is and the riders.
On Thursday night we held Roadrunner LXIX at Mallory Park and another small but select field enjoyed a dry night racing in pleasant conditions with a lot less wind that two weeks ago. The session was a mix of 5 lap races interspersed with the drag-race TT.
The next sessions are Roadrunner L (50) on Thursday August 3rd at Mallory Park followed by the next round of the Whizz Kids Racing League, the Foxton Hill-climb, on Saturday August 12th. Hope to see you soon and if you are away and riding in Whizz Kids kit feel free to send in an image of wherever you are in the world.
See you soon!
