Update on Team Time Trials

There has been a huge amount of work going on behind the scenes trying to organise team time trials and also our club championship. Thank you, actually a big, big thank you, to all who have dealt with road closures, lack of marshals, re-surfacing, road works and closed roads unexpectedly reopening.  Frankly, I’m amazed that we’ve been able to run our programme of time trials without any cancellations.

However, when it comes to the team time trials we were hoping to run in the absence of Bruntingthorpe this year, we have to admit defeat. Unfortunately, despite everything we’ve done, we’ve not been able to secure all the required approvals from the police & CTT in time. As a result, we’re having to cancel these events this year. We haven’t given up running them next year though.

In their place we plan to run evening social club rides each Tue evening throughout July and August (starting Tue 11^th July) from Market Harborough Square at 6:15pm ready for a 6:30 pm departure and ending with optional recovery beer (or coffee) at Mercado lounge at 8:30ish. A balmy summer evening ride in the lanes, what could be better?
