Get a wiggle on for Mallory
A gentle reminder (well, actually a SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF OUR VOICE reminder) that the club’s Mallory Park Race Nights’ season ticket offer ends in just five days’ time.
June 20 is the cut-off date; so if you haven’t already booked your cut-price place on the starting grid, then please do it NOW.
No matter what your speed and experience, this is your chance to have a crack at handicap racing on a superb 1.35 mile ‘smooth-as-a-baby’s-bottom’ traffic-free circuit.
Booking Mallory is a major investment by the club; and the support of members to ensure its success and future viability is crucial.
The dates for your diary are (all Thursdays) July 6 and 20 and August 3 and 17. Racing starts at 7.30pm, with the track open from 6pm for warm-ups and practice laps.
Season tickets are £30 to cover all four race nights Simply pay into the club bank account as when you renewed your membership. Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to book your slots via SignUp Genius https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080a4ca8ab2aa5f94-mallory
You’ll also need a TLI licence which you can get here : https://www.tlicycling.com/membership/ Not only will this insure you to race, it also gives you a year’s public limited liability cover while out training or involved in other TLI Cycling recognised activities such as club runs.
What’s not to like?
As Jack Lord said famously – in both Hawaii Five-0 and when signing up for our race nights – “Book ’em Danno.” (NB Under 50s may have to ask old folk about this).
