Off Road Committee – Volunteers Needed

  • Do you like riding on traffic free routes in the countryside on an MTB, cyclocross bike or gravel bike?
  • Are you into into the friendliest cycling discipline  – local league cyclocross?
  • Is your bag grass roots MTB racing in the Friday Night Summer Series?
  • Maybe you like the navigational challenge of MTB orienteering?
  • Do you take part in off-road sportives?
  • Perhaps you’ve dipped  your tyres into gravel racing?
  • Have you taken part in our cyclocross training sessions?
  • Have you been inspired by our off-road Macmillan routes, our spring and autumn gravel rides or even our midsummer off-road 100 miler?
  • Have you stepped up to race off-road at national level?
  • Are you new to off-road riding or racing and looking to become more involved?
  • Are you hugely experienced and would like to pass on your knowledge?
  • Are you interested in planning routes and leading off-road rides
  • Does investigating the effectiveness of different  vitamin B recovery drinks after an off-road social ride  appeal?
  • Would you like to organise events in the future either as the lead organiser or in a support role?

 

We are looking to put an off-road committee together to coordinate our off-road activities with the following objectives:

  • Build more structured support for event organisers
  • Develop future lead organisers for events
  • Support off-road training
  • Support our members off-road racing
  • Increase participation in off-road racing
  • Increase participation in off-road rides
  • Input from a wider group of interested club members for off-road decision making
