Welland Valley Cycling Club: A History
Peter Riley took on the task of writing the history of WVCC in 2018. This involved long hours pouring over minutes and club documents, library and archive research, and couple of Club Nights in Lubenham to share stories (and check facts), and the finished product charts the Club’s story from 1927 through to the early 00’s.
During the first lockdown of 2020, the Club ran a ‘picture of the day’ feature on social media, which kept the Welland Valley community connected, and many of the pictures shared have been included.
You can find and download Peter’s work here, and there will be a limited print run available soon. Our Club’s history will be updated again in time for the centenary year in 2027.
