Whizz Kids Foxton Hillclimb

It was as tough as it gets for the Whizz Kids this afternoon for the Hillclimb, the latest round of the Whizz Kids racing league. With the mercury edging up towards the mid 30’s Celsius heat and sun were going to be a factor today and couple with absentees due to holiday we had a smaller than average start sheet today. Nevertheless all riders from the U-6’s upwards had at least a couple of runs on the hill and our roving reporter commented that everyone gave the last kick to the finish and really pushed for the best result. After the two runs most riders decided that the time on the stopwatch wouldn’t be bettered and declined further runs.
Ian will have the results this afternoon once the number crunching has been done.
Thanks today to Ian, Jade and the parents for your encouragement and finally to Ben who will be away to university in a few weeks and will be stepping back from coaching activities as a result. On behalf of everyone involved with Whizz Kids thanks for all your involvement as a rider, volunteer and coach over the years Ben, and you are welcome to join us at any time.
Time to cool off now
