Whizz Kids Racing League Round 2 Report
Good evening Whizz Kids, here’s today’s report starting with a couple of apologies. Unfortunately due to time we didn’t get in the third race which I’d said would be a Time Trial prologue. Hopefully we will get the change to race against the clock another time. Also apologies for the unseasonal Misterton weather with the mercury nudging 18 degrees and a cloudless sky it’s not what we are used to in South Leicestershire. Anyway on to the racing and Round 2 of the Whizz Kids Racing League (supported by Alden Electrical) which was a fusion of road, tracks and rough grass on the far side of the lake at Misterton. Each age group ended up with two races, a short sprint and a longer (for the older riders quite a bit longer) endurance race. In all classes there were tight battles and some exceptional effort by all riders all cheered on from the packed grandstands on the start and finish straight. We’ll have the results later but in the meantime thanks today go to Ian and Jade for timekeeping , results and signing on and to Jon, the man in black for assisting out on the course and Mrs Craven for the use of a magical facility. Thanks also to the parents for your universal support for the riders, there wasn’t a single rider finishing today who didn’t get cheered across the line.

If you’re out anywhere in the morning don’t forget we put the clocks forward one hour tonight so a shorter night’s sleep.
See you soon
Kev
