Well the W/C Fantasy Cycling turned out to be equally exciting and hotly contested as the racing it’s self.
Michael Burke proved that he spends more time training than studying form, finding himself in the unusual position of last, on zero points and being bested by the proverbial monkey with a pin! (Lucy Smith) with a single point.
Plews topped the table on 8 points and avoided a DQ following a stewards enquiry after evidence emerged that he had received insider information from World Championships competitor Alex Dowsett. Dowsett confirmed that he had spoken with Plews earlier today saying “all he wanted to do was talk about Greg Van Avermaet, it was really rather rude, he even asked if I could get him Greg’s autograph”
Rob Moore, not usually known for his sprinting prowess came an impressive 2nd after leaping up the table with the only accurate wild card prediction.
Wardy dropped two places into 3rd beating Killa Killworth on countback. Adrian, who was outside cleaning the mud from his bike has asked for a full audit of the results.
Thanks to all who played along!
