Harborough Carnival Criteriums

This Saturday was scheduled to be the Harborough Carnival….and for many years Welland Valley Whizz Kids has livened up the parade on their bikes.

The superb annual Carnival races ran for several years through the 80’s and 90’s and were organised by Lee Scampton with a lot of support from club members and local businesses.  However there is not much in the Club archives about these events, creating quite a gap in the work that is being done on Club History…until now!

Laurence Cox has sent in some superb images and documents from the 1989 Harborough Carnival Criterium, starting with riders lining up on the High Street.  Left to right, are……
