N&DCA round 1 – Middleton.

Six Welland Valley riders completed the N&DCA 18.7 mile TT on Saturday. Conditions were ideal for fast riding and 4 riders beat the previous course record. Joe Perkins of Nottingham University CC won in 38:46.

First Welland Valley rider was Tim Smith, in 12th place, in 43.21. Alex Fry, Austin Smith and Adrian Killworth finished in respectively 40th, 41st and 43rd places in 47:39, 48:07 and 48:58.

Jen Clegg was 5th female rider with a time of 56:15 with juvenile rider Oliver Brookes gamely sticking to the task and finishing in 1:07:34.
