A tough epic days racing at the National Cyclo-cross Championships at Kent Cyclopark.
In form James Moore, ranked in the top 10 Nationally, rode brilliantly from the start.
On the fast technical course James was in a group battling for 8 place until he started to slightly fade on the last lap to finish 14th. This was a superb result in his first National Cross Champs for a number of years.
Vic Barnett experienced a very rare ‘off day’. After recovering from a bout of illness over the New Year the experienced rider was determined to do the best he could. Vic just missed out on a medal in the 70 plus age group finishing 4th.
At the other end of the age spectrum Dominic Switzer produced a superb result finishing 19th in the Under 14’s. The young man really got to grips with the technical course and found himself getting faster and faster.
Dom was really pleased with his performance, this was a great reward for some excellent training completed over the festive period,
