Spoilt for Competitive Off-Road Choice on 30 December
If you’re looking for a way to burn off the excess turkey and Christmas pud you have a choice of the high intensity of a CX race in the final round of the Leicestershire CX League at Cattows farm near Coalvile or closer to home the slow burn of a 3 hour on and off-road MTB orienteering event hosted by our good friends Cats MTB Club in Harborough.
Leicestershire CX League
The league reaches its climax, with the final round and last chance to fight for league positions. The event is hosted by Coalville Wheelers CC at Cattows Farm, Swepstone Road, Heather, LE67 2RF. Online entry closes Christmas day.

Cats Cracker MBO Event
HQ: Market Harborough Scout Group Headquarters, 31 Coventry Road, Market Harborough LE16 9BX
Registration – 8.30 – 10am Start – 9 -10.30am
These are fantastic events where you can be as competitive as you like or just use them as a good way of exploring the area on roads, field roads and bridleways on two wheels. You can take part on any off-road bike, but bike and tyre choice will impact your route planning. The idea is to gain as many points as possible by visiting check points – which will be marked on a map that you’ll be given at the start – points are then deducted if you’re not back within the 3 hour time limit.
We have been offered free entry for new riders only – if they enter on the day (although they’ll have to hire a SPORTident dibber) – but please let us know numbers (offroad@wellandvalleycc.co.uk) so they can print enough maps. Otherwise you’re best to pre-enter (pre-entry closes 28/12/18).
