The damp miserable conditions failed to deter 37 riders from taking to the start line in the first mid-week club TT.

James Lowe looks set to have an outstanding season as the junior rider powered round the 10 mile ‘sporting’ course, starting in Thorpe Langton, in 24 minutes 37 seconds. Phil Rayner was second, 25:37, just pipping Club Chairman, Jon Durnin by two seconds.
Linda Hubbard was fastest lady recording 28:12. Second lady was juvenile Millie van Nierop. Millie, a talented netball player, stopped the watch in 31:27. Third lady was Lorna Marlow, 32:46.
Fastest rider on a road bike was Hans van Nierop, 26:44.
Fastest rider on the night was Carl Dyson, 23:41.
It was great to see a number of younger riders coming out and participating. The cycling club is encouraging under 16’s to take part in club events by allowing them to participate for free.

Claire Moore was present distributing the MRM clothing lottery, a massive logistical task. Thank you Claire for all your time and effort sorting, collating and distributing.
At the end of the evening a small presentation was made to Angela Holland who celebrated her birthday.
