Spring is in the air; and that means it’s time to kick off your time trial season.
So whether you’re a grizzled ‘race of truth’ veteran or a TT newbie, the Langtons circuit is the place to be this Tuesday (April 10) for first 10 miler of the season.
For anyone new to TTs, it’s the ideal course (plenty of flat and no big hills) on which to make your debut.
And don’t forget, you don’t need a TT bike, pointy hat or skinsuit to take part. Road bike riders are warmly welcome and have their own TT competitions for 2018.
Race HQ is the community hall at Church Langton LE16 7SZ (NOT Tur Langton, as per the club calendar). Start time is 6.30pm; and riders should sign on by 6.15pm please.
Marshals are John Ellis, Jill Postlethwaite, Paul Tomlinson, Nick Clarke, Richard Mortimer and Harry Hughes.
Finally; a plea from the club committee for more female riders to give TTs ‘a go,’ as women are significantly under-represented in these events.
