Whizz Kids Racing League Round 2 Report

There was some serious skills on display today across all the competitors for round two of the Whizz Kids Racing League supported by Climate Care Systems which was held this afternoon at a grey afternoon at Welland Park. The overnight rain and recent wet weather meant that large portions of the park were virtually waterlogged so we kept on the Parkrun circuit for the most part. This round of the year long competition was the skills time trial where riders were timed over a horseshoe route incorporating 10 skills sections which including a pair of slalom sections, a pair of rumble boards, the off road section including a natural limbo, three plank sections, a figure of eight and one section using Deans spare bed! Each rider had the opportunity to view the track before a best of 5 runs with the quickest time counting with riders having to run up the hill to ring the finish bell
Thanks today to Young volunteers Jade and Ben, to Dean and Ian and to the riders and parents. Results can be found at and there are plenty of images and videos from the day on Facebook. Thanks for a great days racing!
