With Christmas over and the new racing season not much more than a couple of months away the time seems right to focus our training!
Opportunity for members with quite a number of members interested in bunch racing, some for the first time, the club runs training sessions on Saturday mornings through January and February. The sessions will be aimed at members who might want to take part in road racing, but will be appropriate for anyone wanting to take part in structured road based training with a degree of intensity.
Sessions will be designed by Phil Rayner and led by Phil and Nick Clarke (with other ride leaders as needed). The intention of the sessions will be to build some fitness, develop group riding skills, motivate and develop some camaraderie.
Time/Date: Saturday’s in January & February @ 09:30am
Location: Stonton Road, Church Langton (by Community Hall)
Scheduled Events: All events for Pre Season Race Training
Sign-up: We don’t need people to make any ongoing commitment but would appreciate it if you let Nick Clarke (firstname.lastname@example.org) know before each session if you intend to come. This will help with organisation.
New Member? Non Welland Valley members are welcome to join a couple of club runs to see how things work and (hopefully) go on to join up.
Weather: We’re tough East-Midlander’s that go out in all weathers; but in the event of snow or a severe frost, please check the club Facebook page just in case we need to cancel at the last minute on safety grounds.
Parental Consent: The minimum age for joining a Club run is 12 when riding with a family member, or 14 when riding solo with signed parental consent form.
