10 mile TT evening series

Personal bests and season’s bests littered the time-sheet at last night’s 10 miler on the Langton’s circuits.

With riders taking anything up to two minutes-plus off their times from the previous week, it was a good night to be racing against the clock.
Leading the charge once again was Tim Smith, who found an additional 19 seconds (or rather lost it; you know what I mean) to come home in 22.31. He was chased home by guest rider Alan Nicholson, from Barrow on Soar, in 22.50, and WVCC’s Josh van Nierop on 23.03. Quickest road biker was Michael Burke in 24.37.
Linda Hubbard was again the quickest lady in 27.27; with Claire Waterfield at 28.28. Jill Postlethwaite was fastest road biker in 28.49.
Special mention for Mike Vybral – making his return to TTs after many years of absence – only to suffer a mechanical less than 200yds from the start. The gods of biking work in mysterious ways
