Hi Whizz Kids, we’re back in action on Saturday 27th September and due to a reduction in available coaches we’re having a family ride with a twist along the Brampton Valley Way towards, but not reaching, Northampton.
We’ll be meeting from 1:45pm on Britannia Walk in Market Harborough (What3Words ///grips.grownup.deed) and if this is a new location for you it’s opposite Sainsbury’s petrol station. There is a small pay & display carpark next to the start which does get busy sometimes otherwise park in the shopping centre across the road.
As this is a family ride rather than a coached session we encourage parents to join in as well and the plan is to ride out towards Northampton for about 45-50 minutes before turning round and retracing our steps down the hill to the start. The route will include the two tunnels at Oxenden and Kelmarsh so lights are a definite advantage and to add a further element I’ll be hiding several checkpoints along the route that you’ll need to find as you go. I’ll explain more at the start.
Meet from 1:45pm for a 2:00pm roll-out and we should be back at the start at around 3:30pm. Check your email or WhatsApp for the sign-up link. Don’t forget your bike, helmet, parent(s) or other significant older riders, and drinks, and we’ll see you on Saturday.
