Spoils shared at superfast Hallaton 5!

A cool night with a 10mph easterly tailwind produced super times at the Hallaton 5 TT with  14 sub 11 minute rides and many  of the 22 riders recording course PBs.

Inseparable on time were former member  Ed Grandidge and  our own Hans Van Nierop with 9.34. Jamie Kershaw took 3rd spot and club roadbike honours with 9.54. First female was Ruby Isaac with an outstanding 10.37 on a roadbike, followed by Milly Pinnock. In the Juvenile category, Jax Roberts returned to TT action with a swift 10.35.

Spare a thought for Steve Coulam who had the misfortune to puncture when the going was good. Dont worry, Steve, another tailwind this good is bound to turn up once or twice in the next 20 years….

Thanks as ever to Mike Ives for processing the full results – which can be found here.

Thanks also to our timers, Andrew and George, Wilf for pushing off (and riding!) and the peerless Angela for superb cakes and tea.

The next event is on Sunday – the first Kibworth 25, based at a new HQ for this year, Kibworth Village Hall.

Online sign-up closes at 6 pm on Friday and event sign on begins at 7.15 on Sunday with  first rider off  at 8am. Please note that there is NO parking at the Village Hall but Kibworth has plentiful nearby carparks. We hope to see you there.

In the meantime, here are some great pictures taken by Chris Hyde – many thanks to him.
