Today’s Whizz Kids session was a repeat of the March session where we ran a benchmarking time trial at the Leicester Cycle Circuit, we’ll compare results later but with a weather warning in place for thunderstorms we got cracking on the TT. The younger riders rode the short section while the more seasoned Whizz Kids and parents rode the 1km full loop. We managed to get a couple of short races in as well before we abandoned under darkening skies and warming temperatures and headed for the cars. Chris may have been a bit damp but there were 4 bikes to get onto his rack but everyone else just about got away dry before a bit of a deluge.
Thanks today to Richard, Richard and Chris for timekeeping and for the older whizz Kids for marshalling the youngsters around safely, all greatly appreciated.
Results are being officially verified but the first checks appear to show a potential tie for first place.
Next time we’re at Misterton Hall for a bit of cross, details will follow nearer the time and we’ll see you there.
