On Saturday we held the 18th edition of the Tour De Welland this year ran in conjunction with the Alden Electric racing league.
We had a reduced peloton of 9 riders but witnessed some fantastic racing over 6 separate stages. We started with a prologue before moving on to a flat sprint stage, a hilly stage and then the exciting mountain top finish on the Col de Harborough. We rounded the racing of with a TT and then by popular demand a team time trial.
The final and favourite part of the session was the post race refuelling in which we found the Eaton Mess and Wagon Wheels to be the recovery food of choice.
