Following reports and comments from marshalls and riders at the last Kibworth time trial concerning essential matters of safety, the Club Committee has ruled that the remaining events this year on the A6 will be run with the following safety procedures:

START

• Riders will be required to start in the layby at a specified angle which allows them to look back up the A6 towards Kibworth Harcourt.

• Riders will receive from the Start Assistant either the command “Go” or “Stay” at their appointed start time. Riders must not start until they hear “Go”.

NB Any delay suffered will be noted and deducted from a rider’s final time. 

Any rider who does not follow this procedure will be disqualified. No exceptions.

RIDER CONDUCT AT ISLANDS

• Marshalls will note the number of any rider who wilfully or recklessly does not give way to traffic from the right and report to the Lead Marshall.

Reported riders will be disqualified. No exceptions.

Please ride responsibly and safely or we will lose the use of this course.
