Both Ruby Isaac and Jamie Kershaw were “flying the flag” for Welland Valley last weekend as they competed in the infamous Isle of Man stage race in difficult conditions.

Ruby, who has just turned 16 won the first stage and came 5th overall in a race that suited her hill climbing credentials A win at the twisty criterium Harvey Hadden earlier in the week, after a gutsy solo move off the front, was a good sharpener and shows her versatility. A huge “well done” to Ruby.
Jamie Kershaw, also did very well in in his first National road event of the season. Jamie finished 43rd in stage 1 of the Boys A race.
Ruby and Jamie are supported by the WVCC youth development programme and they are doing us proud!
