Hi Whizz Kids, Thanks to everyone who turned out at Leicester Cycle circuit this afternoon for a combined Whizz Kids/Youth Development event. It was the first time back at this facility since well before Covid and we had forgotten how windy the place can be but it did stay dry for our two hour session. With Simon being unfortunately unavailable the groups were let by myself and Kev Mills ably assisted by Ian, Jade and Dave (who looked somewhat windswept). The first part of the session concentrated on skills and the second formed the first round of the Whizz Kids Racing League which consisted of a prologue Time Trial, the intention is to use the times today and compare them with later in the year to see what improvements have been made. The U6’s and U8’s ran on a short circuit while the rest , and three adults, rode the full 1Km loop.
Results will follow later but thanks go out to everyone who provided support and rider encouragement, and for the cakes at the end which were really appreciated. Cool and Windy, but a great session all round without any drama. Next Session is in two weeks and will be a pre-Easter family event at Misterton Hall. Cheers for now, Kev N
