Whilst entering some other TT’s on the CTT website I noticed that there is a 2 UP TT on Saturday 30th September. I thought it would give people the opportunity to actually have a go after the club pondered the idea earlier this year.
The event is on the Lamport-Rothwell-Lamport course where Kettering run their Thursday evening TT’s fairly regularly so it’s pretty local.
If Club members want to enter they should go to the CTT website and get a membership number. It’s which is free and gives them access to all sorts of open events that are run. They can then enter the race
As it’s a CTT event there will be people from other clubs taking part on TT rigs but I thought our members should be on road bikes as that was the criteria when the club was hoping to run 2 and 4 UP TT’s
To maximise participation and keep it fair and to all there should be no aero kit whatsoever. So no aero helmets, skinsuits, road suits, aero socks or over shoes etc. And no wheels deeper than 50mm rims.
A couple of teams have entered already and it would be nice to get a few other teams from the club in. Why don’t you get someone to partner up with and have a punt? To make it even more interesting there will be a prize for the best WVCC team!
