We are delighted to announce a series of Six Cycling Skills Sessions running over the summer for young cyclists.
They will be held off road but the skills will definitely be transferable and are suitable for anyone who can ride a bike confidently. They are designed to help develop your skills on a bike, enable you to progress and even get you ready for racing should you wish to.
The sessions will be led by Mark Evans, an experienced British Cycling coach and held at Desborough Leisure Centre (Ironwood Avenue, NN14 2JJ).
There is a variety of terrain at the site so sessions will be interesting and varied.
The sessions run from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and start on Monday 31st July. They’ll then be at the same time, in the same place, every Monday evening up to and including Monday 4th September.
The sessions are completely free, just turn up with any sort of off-road bike, CX, Gravel, MTB and you’re good to go – but don’t forget your helmet and definitely bring a drink too!
You can drop into as many of the sessions as you are able to attend. By September you’ll have developed your skills and fitness so much that you’ll be ready for anything – including the cyclocross season which will be about to start.
