Whizz Kids returned to the Brampton Valley Way for their first Time Trial there since 2019 and we had a blast. Conditions were just about perfect for round 2 of the Whizz Kids Racing League supported by Alden Electrical and with a 1.25km course riders took advantage of the opportunity to ride multiple runs in order to record their quickest time which will count toward league points. There was some exceptional riding and it Charlie Hardwicke who was quickest overall and the only rider under three minutes beating Finn who was time constrained and had time to pull in just one qualifying run running pretty cold before having a subsequent appointment. There were a variety of techniques at the dead turn at the top of the course but most impressive was William R who, on a short wheelbase bike, went around the turn as if on rails.
Thanks today to the Ian and Jade show as they orgainsed the starting and finish lines giving me the opportunity to watch from the course (and to prevent riders heading into Northampton. Thanks also to Claire who did a sterling job stopping riders escaping to Harborough and to the parents who guided and encouraged the youngsters, thanks too to Thanks also to West Northants council who look after the trail. Finally thanks to all the riders for getting stuck into the event. Well Done !
The times are attached as Round 2 See you next time!
