Well some (all of four) club runners braved the cold on Sunday morning and took on the Brampton valley way. Boy was it cold! It even started to snow at one point but we carried on regardless buoyed by the knowledge that there was a cafe at Pitsford where we could warm up.
Some points of interest:
- it was warmer inside the tunnels than outside
- toes and fingers really, really hurt when they “come round”
- frozen ground is much nicer to ride on than muddy ground (for me anyway)
- women outnumbered men by 3:1 – you can draw your own conclusions on that one
- I’d do it again
Thanks to Mark for a great ride.
