Jason Williams took part in The Yorkshire Sprint Triathlon at the weekend. He has written up a great report which is shared below.
“As you know I compete in duathlon for the Race Rapid team, based at Mallory circuit and yesterday I took part in the Yorkshire sprint duathlon at Croft circuit. It was a 5k run/20k bike /2.5k run and was a qualifying race for the World age group duathlon championships in Australia 2022. Racing in a time trial format due to the current restrictions and chip timed for accurate results.
I had a great race and finished in a time of 59:26.. 11th place overall and 1st in my age group 45-49 achieving automatic qualification in the process. At the moment I don’t see me being able to go to the event due to financial and logistical reasons but I am honoured to have achieved the required level needed for selection.”
